Thoughts on Wheels
Why do I like long, fast drives along silent roads in the night. Because of the way the cold air rushes past my hair with a raw, rough strength. Because of the way the silence makes any music seem superfluous. Because of the air brimming with the promise of rain kissing the parched earth. Because of the way the headlights make the regular green shrubbery glow with the mystery of the night, making me imagine a whole new world waiting to be discovered beyond. Because of the way the racing wind slows down my thoughts. Making me quiet and making me dwell in my personal space. Where I float in a musical vacuum.
