What If..

I sometimes think how life would have been if I had taken different paths at the various crossroads.
At this moment right now, would I have been preparing the blueprint for a new building?

Would I have been holding an expectant mother's hand in professional confidence?

Would I be grinding my nose in a textbook in the land of the dollar dreams?

Looking back, the different crossroads in life, are not only about making decisions, but also about giving up. Be it the question of having a pet, or giving up classical violin or a relationship, we make decisions that we think seem to be the right thing to do at that juncture. We give up, aspiring for a tomorrow which replaces everything.

And the surprising thing is, it almost always does.

Jus for the argurment sake, Consider this: An alternate hypothesis - What if tommorrow never comes?? Shouldnt you be living like as if there is no tommorrow... ;).. So why wait for tommorrow and make decision which suits the tommorrow better than today??

@sriram..:D true.. cherishing the moment is important bcos moments are what life is made of..

alternately-- the probability that there is no tomorrow is 1/(no. of days u live):P doesnt that want u to bcome rational?;)

You equation doesnt address the external influneces such as nature's fury or hell's anger... What if you have high probability of tomm and Captain haddock lets out ten thousand thundering typhoons on you? Would you still live to see tommorow?? :)
Anyways, the point is.. there r things which you can afford to take it easy sometimes and live irrationally as long as you dont hurt someone inside and outside your zone of influence.. Ofcourse I am not suggesting that you could have a pet on board Trident, which may not such a good idea.. it would end up like a Tom and Jerry fight on board trident.. but you could still continue your violin lessons(u r ur own teacher) if thats your passion or continue a relationship as long as it still makes sense... makes sense?? random scribles...

Reminds me of the movie 12B.Decisions taken in a a minute have a lifelong impact. It is interesting to imagine "what if..." though!

@sriram..a pet with me on the Trident?ROTFL:))) but actually, there is a probability of me having a goldfish in a bowl hidden in my room:P
I dont know abt the typhoons .But there are definitely thousands of blistering barnacles around this place:D

@srini..It is interesting, and makes up nice topic for day dreaming:)

@S.K..Nice to see you here! and thanks a bunch:)
I think there can be no such thing as a 5 yr plan in life! considering the fact that even my next-1-hour plan backfires:D
