The Wind Whispered

I opened the door to the ocean at one in the night. Inky blackness invited me in. The gentle murmur between the ocean and wind was so overwhelming that I walked in tiptoe lest I disturb their conversation. As I stood on the edge, the sky looked like the showers from the wand of a magician.I almost raised my hand to grab a handful of the magic dust ,incase they faded away. The billowing wind made my spine tingle through my cotton shirt. I did not resist when it caressed my hair with passion.

Suddenly, there was another figure in the horizon. And as the person moved closer, I waved my hand in recognition. When he remained oblivious to my existence,I realized that I was actually invisible in the midnight's dark wrap. I felt like an invisible power. Infact, like the devil who can wreak havoc at will.

When , finally we recognised each other as human existence, the stroll around seemed like a walk in a jogger's park. Only, it was a walk along the fringe of the dark ocean, peppered with signboards from the sky.

My twelve hours of working nonchalance was replaced by ridiculous happiness- when the wind whispered my name.

Again...well etched images. Nicely done. Well chosen words here Hema.

Keep creating such images. They remind us that we are still alive.
